With over 300 objects, the Daniel & Serga Nadler Collection of Chinese Export Porcelain at Winterthur focuses on wares made in the 1700's and 1800's (Qing Dynasty) for consumers in Britain, America and Continental Europe. Bright colors were used in floral, landscape and highly popular, figurative scenes.

The Leo & Doris Hodroff Collection at Winterthur includes a wide varied of Chinese export porcelain with some samples dating back to the 1500's. Porcelain made in China for export to Europe and America in the eighteenth-century was highly priced - showing that its owners had great wealth and status. The blue and white coloration was the most popular type of decoration form the 16th through the 19th century.
