Inspired by a teapot from the Winterthur collection, this cocktail table is designed with Federal influences, noting the gallery around the captured rim, and square tapered legs.

The top surface is aluminum that’s finished in a faux travertine powder coated finish. The lower shelf is functional with pierced aluminum with exquisite welding and finishing.

This table is made from high quality aluminum and finished with a black lightly-textured powder coat finish. This table is specifically designed and manufactured to withstand the elements. Imported.

Using the rich history and extensive archives of the estate, Winterthur and Lane Venture teamed up to create modern designs that are adapted for today's home. Architectural details from Winterthur doors, trellises, fences and archives were the inspirations for these dramatic designs.

By 1951, du Pont had transformed his home into Winterthur Museum, a showcase of American decorative arts. One notable item in the collection is a silver teapot made by the renowned Philadelphia silversmith Joseph Richardson, Jr. about 1800. It is part of a complete tea service, acquired by H. F. in 1930, that included an additional teapot, a coffeepot, a sugar urn with lid, creamer, waste bowl, sugar tongs and twelve teaspoons.

The teapot reflects the neoclassical taste, with a focus on simplicity, delicate proportions and geometric motifs. A significant design element is the hand-pierced gallery on the lid, evidence of the interest in symmetry and order during the period.
