Winterthur Quince Jelly


Quince jelly made with quince harvested from Winterthur's Quince Walk.

H. F. du Pont planted a large collection of quince that now forms the Quince Walk leading to the Pinetum at Winterthur. The quince was hand-picked at peak ripeness and homemade into this delicious jelly. Spread on crackers of a slice of toasted bread.

• Ingredients: cane sugar, quince, water, lemon juice and pectin.
Use it to accompany fatty meats such as lamb and pork. Serve during tea. Mix with fruit as a topping for pound cake.
