Bee Habitat

Not all bees live in hives, some are solitary and don’t swarm like honey bees. Mason bees are one type of solitary bee that will benefit to having a safe place to lay and rear their young. This bee habitat is made from wood and comes apart for easy cleaning. Instructions are included.

Mason bees (Osmia rufa) are a native bee common throughout the United States. Smaller than a honey bee, these helpful pollinators are a vital part of our ecosystem. They typically lay their eggs in small holes such as those left by woodpeckers, but are just as happy to use man-made homes.
